You’ve seen it on your favourite golf course as the gravel on the golf cart paths – now the same great chips are available for your own yard!
Cart Path Chip is an excellent blend of 1/4” minus rock full of loose material that compacts to a tough base. Because this material packs tightly it is ideal for garden pathways: comfortable to walk on, and easy to push a fully loaded wheelbarrow on top of.
For those golfers out there, this is THE product that builds the firm base under our artificial grass putting green kits. Yes, your oasis awaits!

This gravel features the same coloration as our larger 3/4” fracture. Crushed 1/2” clear can be used for garden pathways, gravel driveways, and in conjunction with weed-barrier fabric – a general groundcover in landscaping. It is also a great material for packing in around wood-fence post installations to help with drainage and keep wet dirt off of the posts. This helps to help slow rotting of buried posts. Due to it’s angular nature this is a good packing material that also still drains freely due to the lack of fines – also great for wet areas in the landscape. A truly versatile product.

Dollar for dollar, our 1” Dark Fractured is one of the best values in our yard. It offers a consistent olive-grey colour normally found in more expensive decorative stones.

The loosely-graded 1/2” Dark Fractured stone is perfect for landscaping walkways, loose patios, or as an inexpensive ground-cover for that extra parking space. Colour is a consistent olive-grey.

The most common driveway gravel, Driveway Chips are a 5/8” minus rock full of loose material that compacts into a tough base.
This product is great for any project that needs a compact chip – driveways, parking spaces, and pathways are all perfect candidates for Driveway Chip.

An angular rock at consistent 3/4” size. Has a base-grey colour with highlights of lighter and darker rocks throughout. Our fractured rock works well as a slightly loose pathway or driveway gravel, and does provide good drainage as well. Often used in conjunction with Allan Block retaining wall builds.
Fractured Rock is commonly used for “cleaning up” areas, and provides a great balance of price and aesthetics.

We keep this gravel on-site for our hardscapers and those building patios and driveways with pavingstones and concrete slabs. A unique screeding base alternative with benefits over the typical bedding sand course under pavingstone installations. This stone is properly installed over compacted 3/4” clear fractured rock in conjunction with a geotextile underneath to create a base that is EXTREMELY resistant to failure from freeze-thaw cycles. See us in store for more – but this installation technique is bound to become the next “greatest thing” in paver and hardscape installations!
Crushed 3/8” clear can also be used for garden pathways, gravel driveways, and in conjunction with weed-barrier fabric – a general groundcover in landscaping. Due to it’s angular nature this is a well-packing material that also still drains freely due to the lack of fines – also great for wet areas in the landscape. This stone can also be added to Navvy Jack gravel for concrete mixes and will help further strengthen the final hardened concrete product. A truly versatile product.

NOW IN STOCK!
Making a loud RUMBLE when dumped out of our trucks, this dark basalt stone offers a larger scale version with the same coloring as our smaller dark fractured rocks.
Uses include ground-cover for shrub beds with the benefit of being heavy enough to “stay put” when a leaf blower is used in the fall to cleanup fallen debris. This stone is also a very, very good structural fill to “tighten up” poor, or damp sub-soils in preparation for further building or overlay with road-base material or driveway chips on top – say for a parking spot or a driveway installation. In such use, as minimum 460# plate compactor is recommended to get proper compaction. Overall, a great product!

3/4” VILLAGE CREEK IS BACK IN STOCK!
The 3/4” Village Creek limestone mixture is great for covering large areas with a bit of pizzazz – this colourful stone is a beautiful accent choice as well.

Slightly larger – and a little harder to shovel – than the 3/4”, our 1–1/2” Drain Rock is another great option for either drainage or decoration. It also provides slightly better drainage than the 3/4”.

A standard, round rock used for drainage – 3/4” Drain Rock also works well for making natural looking decorative areas, such as river beds.
Try mixing with the 2”–12” River Rock!

The standard gravel for exposed aggregate concrete and playgrounds, Pea Gravel is a “soft”, round rock, about 1/2” in diameter.
And because it’s so loose, Pea Gravel is not usually recommended for driveways or pathways – unless you’re planning on being barefoot most of the time!

Perfect for landscaping projects wanting that “natural look”, our 2”–12” River Rock takes your dry riverbed to the next level! Equally great for covering large decorative areas or using a few rocks here and there to add some size contrast to your landscape.
Pro tip: combine the River Rock with both sizes of Drain Rock to achieve that authentic riverbed look!

A coarse, general purpose sand. Great for bedding water pipe or irrigation lines in trenches, turning into sand bags, and laying underneath paving stones.
Because it is coarse and grainy, bedding sand will not compact, and is not suitable for sandboxes – try the Masonry Sand instead.

A washed, coarse sand – generally used in the creation of concrete. Since Concrete Sand is similar in consistency to the Bedding Sand, it also works for filling and levelling.

When paired with cement, our fine, washed Masonry Sand is ideal for grouting or brick laying, or for levelling inflatable pools.
And since it’s clean and fine, Masonry Sand works great in sandboxes – the kids will love it!

Bring on the rocks! Blasted basalt boulders for garden features or building retaining wall. WILL REQUIRE mini-excavator (suggested minimum excavator size would be our 3.5 tonne unit – Item 22058) to place – too large/heavy to place by hand.
When ordering we will need to discuss jobsite considerations as this rock is hard and dense and will damage a concrete or ashpalt driveway. Best dumped on gravel/dirt/lawn areas with lots of room as these rocks can also roll once they hit the ground falling from the back of the dump truck.
Sizing is approximate and smaller and larger stones may/will occur in the load. Stone shape is extremely varied.
Creates a beautiful, long lasting retaining wall up to 4 feet tall when properly fit together and stacked then backfilled with a mini excavator.

If you’re looking for an economical material to be used as non-structural fill, our Fill Material is a great option. Please note that Fill Material does not adhere to any technical specification, and as such it is not recommended for any structural applications. This at times may contain pieces of sod, wood and larger stone.

This overburden is generally sandy with round gravel rock up to usually 10”, and some organics/wood mixed in. More gravel-like than soil-like.
Excellent cost-effective material for building up landscape areas where a spec. gravel is not required. The dirty aggregate will compact very well with a reversible 460 pound or 1000 pound plate compactor.

Dug from the wall of the gravel pit, this is a clean (no organics) raw aggregate that contains sand, gravel and round rock up to about 10”. Not a screened or classified product (ie you get what you get…) that is excellent for building up large areas required for further contruction purposes. Contains few, if any fractured rock.

As it sounds – ground up asphalt that is screened to 3/4” minus material. Should be placed at about 3” depth on a prepared sub-base of 3/4” road base. This can then provide an excellent gravel roadway material, say, for a long gravel driveway installation. Best placed, smoothed out, and then compacted. R.A.P. will initially seem “a little soft” but once it is weathered – rained on and the sun bakes it – this gravel will harden up and create a great, durable surface. NOT an asphalt replacement, however, this gravel does have the unique benefit of VERY minimal dust due to the bit of residual oil in the gravel mixture that “locks up” the fines and prevents them from blowing around.

Road Base is built to pack. A dense mixture of rock and sand made for strong, hard-packing bases, road base is perfect for use under paving stones (under the bedding sand layer), retaining wall blocks, poured concrete slabs, or roadways.
This product is also commonly referred to as ‘3/4” Minus’, ‘3/4” Crush’, or ‘Road Pack’.

Similar to our 3/4” road base, but with larger rocks. This is the same material used to build up strength under road-ways and highways in preparation for topping off with 3/4” road base. Suitable anywhere a large depth of good structural fill is required in preparation for further building such as around house foundations, under driveways, and concrete slabs. This material has the added benefit of being a “tight” material but still freely draining – something that simply cannot be found with standard clay/dirt backfill on a jobsite.
We are happy to offer greatly reduced pricing on most of our products when you order large volumes and have it delivered in our tandem-axle dump truck.
