Rental Policies
Our job is to ask you questions about your project. You deserve the correct tool for your task and we want your day to be successful.
Rental charges are based on time out – NOT time used.
Current/valid government photo ID required for rental – driver’s license is preferred.
Deposit on a valid credit card is required.
If any problems develop while using our tools, please advise us ASAP so we can work with you to keep your project moving forward.
Please advise us if there was damage to the rental tool upon return – damage will be billed at a fair labour rate and fair markup on parts to complete the repair(s).
Please return tools as clean as possible – extra charges will apply for units requiring excessive cleaning.
We can refuse a rental tool to anyone who may damage the tool using it for the wrong task, may not return it, or to anyone unwilling or unable to provide proper ID and deposit.

Sales Policies
General Sales Policy
All returned goods subject to 10% restocking fee at our discretion.
Original receipt is required for ALL returns.
Returns are only accepted WITHIN 60 DAYS of purchase.
There are no returns on any non-stocked, custom ordered, custom cut, or previously installed/used products.
Any issues of quality with manufactured goods will fall to manufacturers guarantees/warranty. We will work on your behalf to resolve the issue.
Returned goods must be clean and in resaleable condition
Bulk Landscape Goods
Bulk landscape goods are non-refundable.
Clean product can be returned to our bins at our discretion. Prior to dropping ANY product, please see the sales desk.
Customer (driver) is responsible to ensure transported bulk goods are securely contained and their vehicle is NOT overloading legal axle-weight.
We aim to load your vehicle as safely as possible; at our discretion, we reserve the right to stop loading.
Artificial Turf
Artificial turf is custom-cut, must be paid in full prior to cutting, and is non-returnable.
Note: dye lots can vary between production runs of the same product and yield a slightly different colour. For jobs requiring multiple rolls, this dye lot must be matched. If adding material a year or two later, an exact colour-match is usually not possible.
Pond & Water
EPDM rubber liner and pond underlay is custom-cut, must be paid in full prior to cutting, and is non- returnable.
A pond full of water is EXTREMELY heavy. In the dug hole, we recommend placing masonry sand first, then pond underlay fabric, then rubber liner to minimize the chance of a hole forming in the liner over time. If rocks are placed on top of the liner, make sure to use doubled-up pond underlay fabric between the rocks and liner to prevent holes forming over time.
We do not warranty holes in EPDM rubber liner; repair kits are available.
Once installed/used, pumps are not returnable.
Pumps that have failed fall under the manufacturers warranty.
Frost damage (ice expansion) is the most common pump issue and is NOT covered under warranty. Protect your pump from freezing!
Concrete Pavers, Slabs & Blocks
Orders of 2+ pallets of pavers/slabs/block receive a 10% volume discount on the palletized goods.
Non-stocked product is available only in full pallet quantities, must be paid in full prior to ordering, and is non-refundable.
Pallet deposits apply. Empty pallets (from our suppliers) in reusable condition may be returned at anytime for a FULL refund. Receipt required for refund.
We will accept up to 10% of stocked product for return at the end of job (ie 1 pallet from an original 10 pallet order). Product must be clean and in a non-damaged resaleable condition.
Porcelain slabs are non-refundable.
Natural Stone
We do not accept offcuts/chipped pieces of natural stone for return.
Bagged Goods
October 1st – April 30th we do NOT accept returns on bagged goods.
May 1st – September 30th we will take non-damaged, resaleable bagged goods back at manager’s discretion.
Yard Waste Drop-Off

Product that we do not allow in our bins dropped by mistake, or on purpose, will result in an additional bill to the customer. Charges include:
The cost of our labour to sort the material; and
City of Nanaimo dumping fees; and
Hourly trucking costs to dispose of the material at the City of Nanaimo dump in Cedar
For materials accepted for recycling, please ask or refer to yard signage, our recycling handout, or this website.
Man-made/manufactured items are strictly prohibited from ALL bins.
Maximum volume per dump is 8 cubic yards. Larger loads will not be accepted.
Commercial loads are rounded to nearest 1/2 cubic yard volumes for payment.
Sharecost reserves the right to define volumes dropped off for the purpose of determining pricing.
Customers dropping off prohibited items will be subject to surcharge and held liable for clean up/disposal costs.

If you order two or more pallets within a specific product line (such as pavers), the discount will be applied to ALL products within that same product line. So for example, if you buy 2 full pallets of one paver plus 48 more of a different colour, ALL of the pavers will get the volume discount.
