A very nutritious blend made exclusively from composted yard trimmings and food scraps. Class A compost that contains ZERO biosolids! This compost is screened to 1/2″ and is created under strict controls and testing to create a fine, extremely fertile media that can be used for blending-in with existing on-site soils to improve organic content, soil structure, water retention, soil nutrients, plant root health among other benefits. You will see improved plant health and growth using our compost in your garden beds.
- Best “turned-in” to existing soil once per year Spring or Fall by spade or rototiller at a 3:1 ratio of soil to compost. If you turn the top 6″ of soil, then apply 2″ of compost before turning in.
- Dark color provides excellent contrast with plants.
- Yes, the compost does have some smell when initially placed, and will have some clumps that need to be lightly broken up.
